Poems and numeration

The author of the glosess introduced a numeration, limited to the Rerum vulgarium fragmenta, that goes from leaves 1 to leaves 8 (including the Dedicatory letter and the Index) and then it starts again with leaf 1 and goes to leaf 136, including the following poems (the numbers refer to the last order of the poems decided by Petrarch in his Vat. Lat. 3195):

1, 3, 2, 4-79, 81, 82, 80, 83-119, 122, 120, Donna mi vène spesso ne la mente, 123-263, 265-336, 350, 355, 337, 338, 339, 342, 340, 351-354, 359, 341, 343, 356, 344-349, 357, 358, 360, 361, 362, 363, 364, 365, 264, 366.

The following poems are missing: 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 72 (only vv.38-78 missing), 73 (only vv.1-18 missing); 91 (only vv. 5-14 missing), 106 (only vv.5-8); 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119 (only vv. 1-55), 164, 165, 166, 167, 180-181-182, 183, 214 (only vv. 22-39 are missing), 215, 216, 217 218, 219, 220, 221, 229 (only vv.11-14 are missing), 230, 231, 232, 233 (only vv.11-14 are missing), 242 (only vv. 6-14 are missing), 121 (Or vedi amor che giovenetta donna); 243, 244, 245 (only vv. 11-14 are missing), 284, 285, 286, 287.

A second numeration of the leaves has been added recently on the upper right corner of the leaf: it goes from 1 to 8 and then from 1 to 147 (in reality 148 because page 104 has been repeated twice).

One anastatic reprint of the Queriniana copy was published in 1995. This reprint integrated the missing leaves of Queriniana copy with the copy of the Trivulziana Library in Milan.
